Q. |
What are the correct rules for smoke alarm & carbon dioxide detectors?
|
A. |
DelCo Electric Service Inc. of North Myrtle Beach, SC would suggest one at every floor/ level of your house, up high on ceiling or wall along with one in every bedroom. Combination ionization/photoelectric smoke alarms are available, or separate alarms. Most importantly we recommend testing every six months and replacing batteries! |

Q. |
Are GFCI breakers really important?
|
A. |
A GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) is an outlet which will trip before an accident such as electrical shock happens. We recommend one wherever water comes in contact with electricity; bathrooms, kitchens, patios, etc. A GFCI can also be installed at your panel box in order to protect the whole circuit. |
